“Life’s Short. The World’s Yours!” – Pry
“Afoot and light-hearted I take to the open road,
Healthy, free, the world before me,
The long brown path before me leading wherever I choose.
Henceforth I ask not good-fortune, I myself am good-fortune,
Henceforth I whimper no more, postpone no more, need nothing,
Done with indoor complaints, libraries, querulous criticisms,
Strong and content I travel the open road.”
Song of the Open Road – By WALT WHITMAN
About Pry’s World
Pry’s World mission is to show others that there’s a world of knowledge out there that can’t be taught in a classroom, but traveling. My way of travel is to explore a place at a ground level, to be immersed in the local culture and food of a region, to cherish life through cultural diversity, and to tell the unique perspectives of intriguing people I meet along the way as I travel around the world in search of soul enriching experiences.
Pry’s World is where I share my passion for travel, food and cultures as I try helping others with tips and resources for those that share the same dream as me: TRAVEL THE WORLD. Let’s explore a life beyond our imaginations to reach new heights and gain new perspectives.
Whether you want to travel like me, with me or through me… here you will see an unique perspective, of an immigrant, a foreigner, but foremost, a citizen of the world.
Pry the World = Be Curious!
Pry = definition, to pry: inquire too closely into a person’s private affairs. Synonyms: inquire impertinently, be inquisitive, be curious, poke around/about, ferret (about/around), spy, be a busybody. Also Pry is my “Americanized” childhood nickname 😉
About Pry
I was born and raised in a small town in the deep south of Brazil (usually nobody knows where it is). I’m the third generation of Italians immigrants born in Brazil (from the northeast part of Italy).
Digital Marketing graduated, however, I became a Sushi Chef by opening my own sushi delivery business when finishing college. Hopefully that explains a little about my food obsession.
When I was 23, I decided to leave everything behind, bringing my whole life belongings in a small luggage to live in a foreign country, the USA (Tampa, Florida).
Curious by nature and with a creative personality, after 8 years of being an office prisoner, I realized the 9-5 american dream was never what I really wanted. So I finally decided to monetize my passion, to work and travel around the world.
I believe I have came a long way… from being an immigrant descent in Brazil, a foreigner in USA, now, I become a citizen of the WORLD!
As a great friend used to say to me: “Never forget who you are at your core and your WHY!”
So this is me, and this is my world… Welcome to it!
